All runners know where their goal is but where is the start?

  • You will find all the race day details in the Race PM. At least all the details that we don't purposly keep a secret.

  • Equinox Adventure Ultra is a unique cross-country long distance running experience. Over the weekend of the Spring Equinox (vårdagjämningen) each team (composed of two runners) must navigate themselves, self-supported, to the finish.

    Choose the short (min 50 km) or long race (min 100 km), The short distance runners head straight to the race finish while the long distance runners must pass through one compulsory check point on the route.

    We will serve a pre-race breakfast at the finish area Strandstuvikens Havsbad & Camping, before all runners will be transported via bus to the race start.

    Race starts 12:00, March 23rd. All runners have 30 hours to complete their respective distances.

    Warm food and drink will be served to all finishers upon arrival at the finish line and the sauna will be warm for you!

  • • Race number and GPS tracker (provided at check in)
    • Regional Map (provided at check in)
    • Mobile phone with race directors number saved
    • Full waterproof jacket & trousers with taped seams and a hood
    • Bottles or bladder with capacity for 1 litre of liquid
    • First aid kit (one kit per team is satisfactory)
    • Spare base layer (long sleeve and full leg, only to be used in race ending circumstances)
    • Head torch plus extra batteries (or an extra headlamp)
    • Small red light to be attached to the back of your pack, for use after dark.
    • Whistle and compass
    • Hat or buff and gloves
    • Emergency foil blanket or bivvy bag.
    • Emergency food 500cal (e.g., 2 Snickers, only to be used in race ending circumstances)
    • Emergency money or card

    The compulsory kit should be seen as an absolute bare minimum. The weather on race day can vary from +10 to -10, you should bear this in mind when packing for the race. Due to the navigation required in the race you may be out for considerably longer than you had planned.

  • All participants must be aware of the inherent risks when competing in an cross-country running event like this. Any seriously injured athletes will be escorted to safety as quickly as possible by the event’s designated first-aid staff, however, the weather and terrain conditions can affect the speed with which a rescue can be carried out. As such, it is essential that athletes adhere to the compulsory kit list.

    No personal mobile phones! All mobile phones will be turned off and sealed, by race staff, in an envelope, and carried whilst out on the course. Use of phones one the course is against the rules and phone must be sealed in the envelope at the finish line. The race directors’ number must be saved to be used in case of an emergency, once you use the phone you’re out of the race. You may give the race directors number to family members, but they should only call us in the case of a genuine emergency.

    All litter, including gel wrappers, bottles etc., must be carried until you find a bin or the finish line. Anyone purposely seen throwing litter on the course will be immediately disqualified.

    We ask that all competitors take responsibility for their own wellbeing as well as those around them. As such, we expect you to take care of an injured athlete until help arrives.

    If an athlete wishes to pull out of the event, you have to inform the race director, you will collected, but bear in mind with the nature of the race you could be waiting some time!

    Support is not permitted!

    Maximum available time is 30 hours to reach the finish.

    Please bear in mind that we probably won’t give you any information that isn’t already on the site. The unkown factors are kind of the whole point of this.

  • Your registration is binding and will not be refunded.

    You also agree that your name, start number, age, photos from the race, start time and finish time are published on the internet and possibly other social media platforms.

    Please note that participation is at your own risk.

  • Om du blir sjuk, skadad eller gravid och inte kan delta i loppet kan du som tecknar försäkringen Startklar (155 kr/år) eller Startklar Plus (275 kr/år) få anmälningsavgiften tillbaka. I båda försäkringarna ingår även en olycksfallsförsäkring under resan till/från och under själva loppet. I Startklar Plus gäller också olycksfallsförsäkringen varje gång du tränar under hela året.

    Försäkringarna är giltiga för alla dina motions- och tävlingsarrangemang i Sverige under försäkringsperioden som är 1 år från och med betaldagen.
